Selenium-enriched yeast, produced by fermenting Saccharomyces cerevisiae in a selenium-rich media, is a recognized source of organic food-form selenium. In this process, virtually all of the selenium structurally substitutes for sulfur in the amino acid methionine thus forming selenomethionine via the same pathways and enzymes that are used to form sulfur-containing methionine.
Owing to its similarity to S-containing methionine, selenomethionine is taken up nonspecifically and becomes part of yeast protein. It is this metabolic route that makes selenium-enriched yeast valuable in animal and human nutrition, since selenium-enriched yeast offers the same organic form of selenium produced by food-chain autotrophs.

It is a recognized source of organic food-form selenium produced by fermenting Saccharomyces cerevisiae in a selenium-rich media, where selenium substitutes for sulfur in methionine to form selenomethionine.
Organic selenium from yeast offers significantly higher bioavailability and safety than inorganic sources, making it highly valuable and easy to absorb in animal and human nutrition.
It is widely used as a nutritional selenium enhancer in health foods, dairy products, rice products, biscuits, dietary supplements, and functional beverages.
It contains all the natural nutrients of yeast, including high-quality protein, essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and dietary fibers.
For quantities of 10kg, 25kg or more, the product is packaged in sturdy drums or cartons containing double plastic bags inside to ensure safety and quality during transport.
Express and air shipping (DHL, FedEx, UPS) takes about 3-7 days, whereas sea delivery for bulk shipments over 100kgs takes approximately 10-35 days depending on the destination port.
