D‑Limonene is a natural monocyclic monoterpene, mainly distilled from orange peel as a by‑product of citrus‑juice production. It is a clear, colorless to pale‑yellow oily liquid with characteristic fresh sweet citrus‑orange aroma. It is insoluble in water but miscible with alcohol and most organic solvents.
Common purities: 90%, 95%; food, cosmetic and industrial‑cleaning grades available. FDA‑GRAS listed.
