Commonly referred to as oat beta-glucan, β-(1→3,1→4)-D-glucan is a non-starch polysaccharide found in cell walls of oat endosperm and aleurone layer.
Classed as soluble dietary fiber, it helps cut cholesterol and boost immune function, widely incorporated into food, dietary supplements and cosmetic formulations.
Oat beta-glucan can be extracted via water, alkaline, acidic or ultrasonic processing. Mild water extraction is the mainstream technique: insoluble glucans are separated first, starch is broken down with amylase, proteins removed by isoelectric precipitation, and high-purity soluble beta-glucan is recovered through ethanol precipitation. The typical extraction yield from oat bran stands at around 4%.

Oat beta-glucan is a water-soluble dietary fiber derived from the cell walls of oat endosperm and aleurone layer. Chemically, it is classified as β-(1→3,1→4)-D-glucan, a non-starch polysaccharide.
It acts as an immunomodulator to activate white blood cells, helps lower cardiovascular disease risks, and significantly reduces LDL cholesterol by an average of 8%. In cosmetics, it offers notable anti-wrinkle benefits.
It is processed using water, alkaline, acidic, or ultrasonic extraction methods. Mild water extraction is the standard standard method, achieving a high-purity yield of around 4% from oat bran.
A wide range of specifications from 10% to 90% concentration are supplied and kept in stock to meet different dietary supplement and cosmetic formulation needs.
For smaller orders, it is packaged in 1kg bags (double plastic and aluminum foil bag inside, box outside). Bulk orders of 10kg, 25kg, or more are packed in drums or cartons with double-layer plastic inner bags.
Depending on weight, delivery methods include express couriers (EMS, DHL, UPS, FedEx) taking 3-7 days for door-to-door service, air freight (3-7 days to airport), or sea freight (10-35 days to port).
