A Pancreatin is a complex enzyme obtained through extraction, purification and formulation from porcine pancreas glands. Its main active components include trypsin (protease), pancreatic lipase, and pancreatic amylase, which work together to break down proteins, fats, and carbohydrates.

A Pancreatin is widely used in a variety of industries including food processing, medical treatment, brewing, silk production, and leather manufacturing. In the medical field, it is commonly used to assist in wound and inflammation treatment and to promote drug absorption.

A The recommended conditions are: hydrolysis temperature of 50°C, substrate concentration of 25–50%, pH value of 7.5–8.5, enzyme dosage of 0.15–0.2% (based on substrate weight), and a hydrolysis time of 4–6 hours. Pancreatin performs best under relatively high temperature and weak alkaline conditions.

A Pancreatin should be stored in a cool, dry place away from light, with a recommended storage temperature below 0°C and relative humidity below 60%. Improper storage conditions (high temperature or humidity) may reduce enzyme activity, in which case increasing the dosage during application is recommended. Shelf life is 1 year when properly stored.
