Adenosine triphosphate disodium salt, also known as ATP disodium salt, is an organic compound with the chemical formula C10H14N5Na2O13P3.
It is a nucleotide derivative that participates in the metabolism of fat, protein, sugar, nucleic acid, and nucleotides in the body. When energy is needed for absorption, secretion, muscle contraction and biochemical synthesis, adenosine triphosphate breaks down into adenosine diphosphate and phosphate group, releasing energy at the same time.
